Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ tbsp unsalted butter ( 21 g )
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar ( 13 g )
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar ( 13 g )
  • 1 tbsp milk ( 15 g )
  • Just under ½ cup all-purpose flour ( 55 g )
  • 1/8 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk chocolate chips (30 g )

Instructions
 

  • Add the butter to a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until the butter turns deep golden brown and smells nutty.
  • Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth.
  • Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  • Add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix gently until a soft dough forms.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Shape the dough into a ball and place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Freeze the dough for 10 minutes.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 10–12 minutes.
  • Let the cookie cool slightly before serving.

  • Do not overbake the cookie to keep the center soft and gooey.
  • Chilling the dough helps create a thick bakery-style texture.
